Fujitsu Partners with Cambex to Offer Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters to its ETERNUS Storage Customers

WALTHAM, MA – June 6, 2003 – Cambex Corporation (OTCBB: CBEX), a leading supplier of and storage solutions, today announced that Cambex and Fujitsu Limited have signed a partnership agreement to promote Cambex Fibre Channel host bus adapters (HBAs) to Fujitsu disk storage customers in the Asian Pacific Rim countries.

Under the terms of the agreement Fujitsu will recommend Cambex’s FibreQuikTM PC2000 HBAs to its Eternus storage systemcustomers implementing AIX storage solutions. Fujitsu will also provide first and second level technical support of the Cambex HBAs for these customers.

The Fujitsu ETERNUS seriesoffer storage solutions for a wide range of customers’ needs, from large enterprise to departmental. The ETERNUS storage systems provide high performance, scalability, and assured information protection, and also offer storage management solutions such as non-stop backup, and disaster recovery through the combination of software and hardware.

As part of the partnering agreement, Cambex has enhanced its Dynamic Path FailoverTM (DPF) high-availability software to operate seamlessly with the Fujitsu ETERNUS storage series. Cambex’s DPF software provides full data path redundancy for superior data availability, delivers load balancing capabilities, and operates in active-active mode to deliver up to twice the performance when accessing storage in a SAN environment.

Cambex’s FibreQuik Fibre Channel HBAs provide superior performance and availability for building mission-critical, heterogeneous SANs in IBM AIX, Linux, and Windows environments. The PC2000 host bus adapter is the latest addition to the growing family of FibreQuik products. With a top speed of 2 gigabits/second in each direction, the PC2000 provides 400 MB/s bandwidth in full duplex operation. It's auto sensing and negotiation capability dynamically senses attachments to 1 GB/s target devices and adjusts the data rate accordingly.
